The first trailer for the much awaited sequel to The Muppets has been released and Muppets Most Wanted promises to be more classic Muppet fare. This time, the Muppets are in Europe on tour, only in typical Muppet fashion, things go wrong, as Kermit is caught up in a heist perpetrated by his lookalike.

With an all-star cast, including Ricky Gervais, Tina Fey, Christoph Waltz, Danny Trejo and Ray Liotta, the film is bound to be another smash hit. But if you can’t wait for the movie’s release next year, here’s a pick of some of the best Muppet movie moments.

5. Brick House

Perhaps no other scene truly encapsulates the surreal nature of the Muppets universe as the ‘Brick House’ scene in Muppets from Space, a return to an original story after adaptations of children’s books. Although there is little dialogue, a number of clever visual gags introduce a whole host of Muppet characters as we follow them through their morning routing.
Although Kermit the frog is usually the main focus of any Muppet movie, in this instance, attention turns to Gonzo, who is tired of being a ‘whatever’ and wants to find out who he is and where he comes from. As it turns out, where he’s from is a long way away indeed.

It isn’t the first Muppet foray into space, carrying on the tradition established by the long running series within a series Pigs in Space and the discovery that Gonzo is, in fact, an alien provides a reasonably satisfactory, if implausible, explanation for his strange opinion. However, the film proved disappointing at the box office and received only a lukewarm reception, possibly because release was moved forward from the initial winter schedule to become a summer movie, and it fared poorly against the better marketed Inspector Gadget and Tarzan.
