Tom had the world baffled for a while with his very…interesting…scientology beliefs. For a moment I thought we were going to lose him; as an actor, that is. Still, no matter how odd his behavior one thing’s for sure, the man can still keep us in our seats when he’s on the silver screen. Just as a reminder of how much we love Tom Cruise, here’s a list of his best films.

15) Legend

I think this is probably the most beautiful film this man has ever made. It’s a fairy tale, it’s romantic and he doesn’t really say a lot during parts of the film so he has to do a lot of expression acting (and for most people that’s really hard work). He pulls it off, though.

14) Risky Business

This is one of Ton’s best known roles, although most of us can only remember the scene where he slides across the floor in his shirt, socks and briefs wearing a pair of shades and silently singing. This film actually had a point, though. Don’t hire a prostitute in your home…take her to a hotel where she can’t steal your mom’s stuff.

13) The Outsiders

Did you know that this book was written by a female and not a guy like we thought when we had to read it in middle school? I don’t know about you, but I love this movie. It’s one of those rare films that does the book justice and for that we are grateful. Tom Cruise is a cool Greaser in this film.

the Last Samurai is a really good film, and how come A Few Good Men isn’t on this list?

A Few Good Men was one of Tom’s greatest roles and he held his own up against Jack Nicholson. He was also incredible in Magnolia, a role for which he was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
