Mark Wahlberg’s dominating the big screen at the moment, what with no fewer than two movies out. Pain & Gain is a crime comedy based on a true story in which Wahlberg kidnaps a man he believes to be a big time crime lord and forces him to hand over all of his money.

In 2 Guns, Wahlberg is on the right side of the law as he stars opposite Denzel Washington as two secret servicemen from different agencies attempting to expose corruption and money laundering.

If you need reminding about how much fun Wahlberg is to watch, check out one of his top movies.

5. Date Night

Date Night stars Tina Fey and Steve Carell as a married couple who’ve fallen into a rut. In a bid to rekindle their flame, they go out for a date together, but a series of mix-ups and mishaps sees them have a lot more excitement than they bargained for.

Mark Wahlberg’s torso makes an impressive show in this film in the part of Holbrooke Grant, a security expert that Tina Fey’s character, Claire Foster, helped to find his new apartment. There’s more than a touch of James Bond about Holbrooke, who has a beautiful girlfriend who is most relieved that she will not be expected to perform any extra favours with the Fosters.

It’s a fun frolic of a film and the recurring appearance of Wahlberg’s chest does a great deal to add to the entertainment. One to watch with a bowl of popcorn with all disbelief suspended.
