Being a guy means a lot of things in this world. If you are like me, I’m a typical guy especially when it come to films. I like good ol’ action, war, and sci-fi films. Don’t make me watch a romance, I’d rather see two guys beating the crap out of each other, or gun fights that use 2,000 bullets and blow up 30 cars. Or let me watch an obnoxious comedy, with partying, and girls, and whatever else I can get away with. The following is a list of films that I judge as the very best for us, the males of the world. Take a look and see if you agree.

#7 – The Matrix (1999)

Directors: Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski
Writers: Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski
Production Company: Warner Bros., Village Roadshow Pictures, Groucho II Film Partnership

The plot follows a computer hacker, Neo who learns through a series of strange events about the true reality of the Matrix. He is contacted by Morpheus, who helps Neo awaken to actual reality which is a future Earth where the machines have destroyed everything and taken over using humans as living fuel-cells powering their grid. They keep the unconscious people/batteries in pods mounted in large towers and occupy their minds by jacking them in to a vast computer program known as the Matrix. After awakening, Neo joins the rebellion against the machines. Moving around in anti-grav. ships travelling through the machine world the freed humans can plug back in to the Matrix where Neo and the rest fight for the freedom of mankind.

#6 – Caddyshack (1980)

Director: Harold Ramis
Writers: Brian Doyle-Murray, Harold Ramis
Stars: Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, Ted Knight
Production Company: Orion Pictures Corporation

This is one of the most comically quoted film in history. Packed with big comedy-acting names, this movie still has me in tears, on the floor laughing. It is, of course, about an exclusive golf club, where all the members are rich and weird, and all the employees are poor and slightly just as strange. Danny is a caddy who will do almost anything for money to attend college. He eventually ends up using his talent in a big tournament. Add a war veteran nutcase greens keeper played by Bill Murray and you have got one of the funniest and best guy-films of all time.

This list is good! I’m not entirely sure what qualifies as a “guy” film though. I know there must be many films I like that other guys or people in general would not like. Great list though! On a sidenote reply to comments along with reading them. I might come off as trollish some times but that’s not what I’m here for. Most of the lists I don’t agree with, because for every film you choose in the list I can think of 10 that are better. I know I am not the biggest film fanatic there is and I just think that maybe you should look at some more classics. If it’s all contemporary than make the list Top 10 Contemporary films or recent films.
